Overview |
The
market of server based computing is growing together with
the need of companies and end users for individualized, benefit-oriented
and low cost IT solutions. The PC as Do-it-all weapon for
all IT workplaces belongs to the past. Terminal server/thin
client solutions have been successfully established and fulfill
their task as much lower Total Cost Ownership (TCO). At the
same time they offer additional ecological, ergonomic and
security-relevant advantages. The increasing demand for thin
clients is a distinct signal for a market differentiation
in the traditional PC market. The OfficeStation as all-in-one
plug & play ultra thin terminal open the doors to new
markets, which remained closed to the server based computing
so far due to its complexity. OfficeStation is the ideal option
of a terminal product for you to enlarge the number of your
workplaces.

What
is OfficeStation UTMA? |
OfficeStation
UTMA clients is a ultra thin client solution that provides
users "multiple access" points for one PC. It
is thinner than the traditional thin client terminals in
terms of size and cost. OfficeStation solution provide the
world's first terminal unit that does not require a CPU,
hard-drive, or CD-ROM yet executes as if it is an ordinary
Windows/Linux PC. With this technology, a user can expand
an existing or new PC up to 7, 10, 30 or more terminals
easily and cost effectively.

How
does OfficeStation work? |
Your
existing PC is being under utilized (see CPU usage diagram
right each OfficeStation is programmed to access the host
PCs excess computing power, By utilizing Windows 2000/XP's
multiuser feature with UTMA technology, each OfficeStation
terminal can operate like a separate PC terminal without decreasing
the overall performance of either the host PC or each OfficeStation
terminal. Therefore, each OfficeStation terminal can run every
application from the host PC independently and securely.

Terminal Server |
OfficeStation
utilizing own terminal server software, which is installed
on top of the Microsoft Windows or Linux Operating System
to allow extra users to share their host PC cost effectively.OfficeStation
Terminal Server transmits and handles the desktop display
and input activity from the client keyboard and mouse. Only
a few companies had developed Terminal Server technology running
on Windows such as Microsoft, Citrix. OfficeStation is the
only solution that supports non-server environment!

Connection
Protocol |
OfficeStation
solution using an intelligent protocol (WoIP) that resides
in a software layer outside of the Microsoft Operating System
on the host PC that communicates instructions between the
OfficeStation Terminal Server and the UTMA terminal hardware.
OfficeStation also has the compatibility to work under the
current Microsoft Terminal Server and use its RDP (Remote
Desktop Protocol) to support traditional thin-client terminal
compatibility. OfficeStation can using Linux Operating System
as Host PC using the subset of WoIP - LoIP(Linux over IP).
OfficeStation
connection protocol features 128 bits encryption to provide
high level of data security. OfficeStation connection protocol
is faster than VNC and any other competitor's terminal protocol
by utilizing the bitmap caching for accelerating screen
updates. Only a few companies had developed Terminal Server
technology running on Windows such as Microsoft (RDP Protocol),
Citrix(ICA Protocol), which requires a fee for the access
license. OfficeStation provides the lean and fast access
free of charge!

OfficeStation
Clients is the world's first terminal that does not require
a CPU, hard-drive, or CD-ROM that features exclusive UTMA
(Ultra Thin Multi-Access) technology. OfficeStation provide
users a better working environment as UTMA clients produce
no noise and heat; lowers the corporate TCO in terms of power
consumption, administration, human resources, space, Client
OS license; reduce risks of virus and loss of critical data
as no interface in the UTMA clients.
UTMA Clients
include OfficeStation NetStar, NetStar Network Monitor and
Xtenda X300.
